Flip the Script
At The National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA), we know that things are changing – more of us will be living to 100 and beyond. This will change everything, including how and where we live, love, learn, work, eat, travel, dress and entertain ourselves. ‘Flip the Script’ is an interactive installation where you can add your voice to how we shape the way we age. Together we can ‘Flip the script’ on the outdated story on what it means to grow older.
Many of us reading this will be in that second billion and shaping the new story. We are at the forefront of radical and game-changing innovations using ‘Ageing Intelligence’ to help us all live not just longer, but better, more purposeful and joyful lives. Now is the time to ‘Flip the Script’ on the outdated tale of what it means to age.

NICA wants to invite people of all ages and from around the world to join and share their #ageing intelligence. Together we can use our unique knowledge, wisdom, lived experience as well as our hopes and desires to write a new script for our lives and the lives of future generations.

Profile
The National Innovation Centre for Ageing is a global organisation supported by an initial investment from UK Government and Newcastle University to help co- innovate – together with citizens and private and public organisations – services, technologies and products and deliver them to the market through innovative, ethical, and sustainable business models.
Its mission is to ‘add intelligence to ageing and longevity’ by connecting and interpreting the personal, social, environmental and economic dimensions underpinning different life stages. The purpose of creating a world in which we all live better, for longer, caring about the planet and people – present and future.
NICA’s sister organisation, VOICE®, is a unique organisation, comprising a large network of citizens across the UK and internationally. VOICE members contribute immense insights, experience, ideas and wisdom to identify unmet needs, wants and aspirations to drive innovation for healthy ageing and longevity and improve research.
